Supporter Custom Fields let you capture unique information about your supporters in REACH. These fields can be shown publicly or limited to Admins only, and there’s no limit to how many you can create.
Creating a Supporter Custom Field
- Go to Data Setup > Custom Fields.
- Click + New Field.
- Add a Title.
- Select Supporter as the Referral Type.
- (Optional) Check Show in Admin Console only.
- Choose a Data Type:
- Single Line Text – short entries like Nickname
- Paragraph Text – longer entries such as Notes
- Number – values like Age (recommended if updated regularly; supports Bulk Updates)
- Date – calendar dates like Spouse Date of Birth
- Dropdown – multiple-choice options (e.g., Yes/No, Interest Areas)
- Table – historical lists (e.g., Admin Notes, Extra Info). Note: Table fields are Admin-only and appear as a separate tab.
- Click Create.
All created fields will automatically appear on supporter profile records under the Details > Other Info section.

Managing Custom Fields on a Supporter Profile
To edit, go to the supporter’s profile and click Actions > Edit.
To rearrange profile elements, drag and drop sections on the supporter’s profile page. Changes are universal across all supporter records.
Example Supporter Custom Fields
Date Field Example
- Custom Field: Spouse Date of Birth
- Setup: Type = Date
- Display: Shown in the Details tab of the profile
- Reporting: Go to Reports > Supporters > Select Columns to Display. The custom field will appear as an available column.
Table Field Example
- Custom Field: Admin Supporter Notes
- Setup: Type = Table with fields like Title (Single Line Text) + Notes (Paragraph Text)
- Display: Appears as its own tab in the supporter record
- Management: From the tab, you can + Add Record, Edit, or Delete.
- Exporting: Data can be exported as Excel or PDF from the tab, or searched under Data Setup > Data Import/Export.
