Gift Catalog

Using the Products module, you can create a Gift Catalog to sell your products or offer Sponsorship Gifts directly to your supporters.

Add Products

To begin, go to Products > + Add a Product.

Follow the steps in our Adding Products article to create your products. You can add them manually or import them in bulk.

Recurring Subscriptions

If you’re selling an item that supporters can subscribe to — such as coffee, handmade jewelry, or other recurring gifts — you can easily set this up.

  • Check the Recurring Subscription box to enable it.
  • Choose the recurring period: Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly.
  • Set up shipping options: Create a shipping method to assign a shipping cost for recurring subscriptions.
  • Offer discounts: Use Discount Codes to create seasonal promotions (for example, a holiday discount).

Sponsorship Gifts

Allow supporters to purchase gifts for their sponsorships or in honor of a sponsorship through the Gift Catalog in their Donor Portal.

  • Check the Sponsorship Gift box when creating the product.
  • Optional customization:
    • Limit the gift to certain sponsorship types.
    • Choose whether the product appears on the public Products page or only in the Sponsorship Gift Catalog.
    • Set a maximum number of gifts available per sponsorship (leave blank for unlimited).

Refer to our Sponsorship Gifts article for more details.

By default, in the Donor Portal, the Gift Catalog is titled “Gift Catalog.”

You can customize this title, as well as the page header and footer, by going to:

Settings > Portal Setup > Products tab

Add custom text or use CSS styling to match your organization’s branding if desired.

Categories

Create categories to organize and showcase your products by theme or campaign.

For example, create a category like “Christmas Catalog” or “Year-End Gifts.”

  • Click Add Category to create a new one.
  • When adding or editing products, check the box for that category to include it.
  • A Category dropdown menu will appear on your main Products page to filter items by category.
  • Share the category URL directly with your supporters.

If you’ve added categories but don’t see the Category dropdown menu it’s because this feature requires a REACH Theme version of Ruby 2.3 or Quartz 2.3. Follow these instructions to update your REACH Theme.

Tip: Updating your theme also enables new product features such as:

  • “Only a few left” notifications (when inventory is 20% or less)
  • Updated Cart, Checkout, Search, and Continue Shopping buttons

Adding Products to Your Website Menu

By default, your products are available at:

yourorganization.reachapp.co/products

However, Products are not automatically added to your website’s menu.

Refer to our Menus article for instructions on how to add Products to your site’s main navigation.
