The Message Portal Template controls the layout and content of individual messages or posts on your site.

Use this template to customize how messages are presented to visitors, including images, metadata, attachments, and supporting content.

Access This Template#

Go to Portal Content → Portal Templates → Message.

Tip: Make edits in Staging Site first so you can preview changes before publishing.

Message Image#

Customize how the message image is displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins and size
• Set corner radius and drop shadow
• Add alternate text
• Enforce an aspect ratio

Message Date and Author#

Control how the message date and author information are displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set font size
• Change text color

The message date format is defined under Settings > General Settings > General > Preferred Date Format.

Item Description#

Control how the message description is displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set font size
• Change text color

Photos#

When additional photos are included in a message, customize how they are displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Choose whether to show photo descriptions
• Set description font size
• Change description text color

Message Attachment#

When non-photo attachments are included, control how they are displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Customize background color
• Set button color, size, and appearance
• Choose a horizontal or vertical list layout

Preview and Publish#

Preview changes on the staging site, then use Actions → Publish Staging to Live Site when you’re ready to apply updates to your live site.
