he Place Portal Template controls the layout and content of individual place pages on your site.

Use this template to customize how place details, giving options, related content, and location information are presented to visitors.

Access This Template#

Go to Portal Content → Portal Templates → Place.

Tip: Make edits in Staging Site first so you can preview changes before publishing.

Background Image (Place Cover Image)#

Customize how the cover image is displayed for individual places.

You can:

• Update the image
• Adjust size, border, and fallback colors
• Set corner radius and shadow
• Modify margins and padding

Place Image#

Control how the place profile image appears.

You can:

• Update the image
• Adjust column width, margins, width, and height
• Set corner radius and drop shadow
• Add alternate text
• Enforce an aspect ratio

Place Title#

Customize how the place title is displayed.

You can:

• Adjust column width and margins
• Set heading size
• Change text color

Item Description#

Control how the place description is displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set font size
• Change text color

Action Buttons (Donate, Give by Text)#

Customize how action buttons are displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Edit button text
• Set font size and weight
• Control text alignment and color
• Customize background color, corners, shadow, and padding

To include both Donate and Give by Text buttons, click Copy, then edit each button accordingly.

Giving Progress#

Customize the giving progress bar for the place.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set progress bar color
• Change font size and appearance
• Control the overall size of the progress display

Donation Levels#

When donation levels are present, customize how they appear.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set font size and weight
• Control text alignment and color
• Customize button background color, corners, shadow, and padding

Map#

When latitude and longitude are available, customize how the map is displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set corner radius
• Add drop shadow
• Enforce an aspect ratio

Donor Count#

Note: This block is hidden by default. To add it, click + Block where you want it to appear, then select Donor Count.

Control how the number of supporters is displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Customize number and label colors
• Set font sizes
• Edit label text

Recent Donations#

Note: This block is hidden by default. To add it, click + Block where you want it to appear, then select Recent Donations.

Customize how recent donations are displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Customize heading and donor list text colors
• Choose whether to show donor first and/or last name
• Show or hide city and state
• Show or hide donation amount

Associated Sponsorships#

Control how sponsorships linked to a place are displayed.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Customize title and description text color
• Choose whether to display:
  • Days Waiting
  • Biggest Need
  • Age
  • Place
  • Project
  • Sponsorship description preview
• Select which custom fields to display
• Choose a vertical or horizontal layout

If you do not want associated sponsorships displayed, remove this section.
To exclude a specific place, set Block Visibility to If place is not equal to and select the place.

Recent News#

When updates have been posted for a place, customize how they are displayed.

You can:

• Edit the heading title
• Adjust heading size, color, and margins
• Configure featured messages, including:
  • Margins
  • Title and preview text colors
  • Whether to show the author
  • Message preview line limit
  • Read More button text, color, and size
  • Horizontal or vertical layout
  • Number of messages displayed

Associated Campaigns#

When campaigns are linked to a place, customize how they are displayed.

You can:

• Customize the section heading
• Adjust margins
• Set campaign title and description text color
• Choose whether to show:
  • Campaign goal
  • Parent campaign information
  • Goal progress bar
• Select a vertical or horizontal layout

Donate Now Button#

Customize the Donate Now button.

You can:

• Adjust margins
• Set the destination link
• Edit button text
• Customize color, size, and overall appearance

Preview and Publish#

Preview changes on the staging site, then use Actions → Publish Staging to Live Site when you’re ready to apply updates to your live site.
