The Messages Portal Template controls the layout and content of the page that lists all public messages or posts on your site.
Use this template to customize how messages are displayed to visitors, including headings, filters, and message list formatting.

Access This Template
Go to Portal Content → Portal Templates → Messages.
Tip: Make edits in Staging Site first so you can preview changes before publishing.
Heading
Customize the heading displayed at the top of the messages page.
You can:
- Edit the heading title
- Adjust margins
- Set heading size
- Change text color
Message Filter
Control how message category filters and search options appear.
You can:
- Choose which message categories are searchable
- Adjust margins around the search and filter area
Message List
Customize how individual messages appear in the list.
You can:
- Adjust margins
- Customize message title and preview text colors
- Choose whether to display the author
- Set a preview line limit for message descriptions
- Customize the Read More button text, color, and size
- Select a horizontal or vertical layout
Preview and Publish
Preview changes on the staging site, then use Actions → Publish Staging to Live Site when you’re ready to apply updates to your live site.
