India is currently in the midst of a Covid crisis. They are experiencing the world’s worst outbreak to date, with new cases staying well above 300,000 every day, with new records of highest single-day cases being made daily.

Our partner, Agape AIDS Orphan Care, is running a #campusforkidscampaign, with the goal of raising $4.9 million by the end of May.

This campaign will help Agape protect and re-home their sponsorship children, 50% of whom are immunocompromised, during this Covid crisis.

Currently, their sponsorship children are in 8 different homes that are several miles away from each other.

The money raised will be used to purchase and close on a 5-acre, move-in ready educational and residential campus just 30 minutes away from Hyperabad, India.

The new campus, which consists of an upgraded school, dormitories, cafeteria and industrial kitchen, playground and large field will enable the children to all play together.

It will also significantly help Agape during the current Covid crisis. As the children are all in various homes and separated, the constant shuffling of food and supplies among the homes that is required has become increasingly difficult for their staff. It also can increase exposure as those around them are become infected.

Thankfully, the children have been, and remain in strict lockdown with no Covid cases to date. Agape’s goal is to keep it that way and remain safe.

Agape has already raised $3.9 million and needs an additional $1 million to finalize the purchase and move the children to the new campus. A generous donor has agreed to match up to $500,000!

As with any campaign, any donation helps. Most importantly, Agape asks for prayers for safety and health for all of those in India.

Agape AIDS Orphan Care has been using REACH since June of 2018. They are on our Essentials plan and have over 300 children in their sponsorship program.
